Hello! My name is Catherine Roberts, I began to teach at Mr.Bill swim school in May of 2021. This was my first time working as an instructor, but it seemed to come naturally. My favourite stroke to swim is backstroke but to teach is breast stroke! I started swimming at a very young age for a competitive swim team in Charlottetown. Thanks to all of the wonderful coaches I had along the way (including Bill himself for the early years) I quickly began to develop a love for the water and the sport. It was always a positive experience which I think is where I found the desire to improve and become the best swimmer I could be. I became an instructor because I wanted to make swimming lessons a positive thing for young swimmers. I wanted them to be able to feel the same love and comfort I feel while in the water. In my free time I enjoy ski racing and sailing. I am a highschool student and I still swim competitively. I also have a 6 year old puppy dog named Piper who loves to play fetch but hasn't quite mastered the part about bringing the ball back. I am very excited that I get to continue to work with such a fun age group and can't wait to get more people involved in the amazing sport of swimming.
